Why OTI exists

A clearer way to compare therapy options.

Choosing therapy involves both practical questions and a personal decision. OTI brings together service information, listed fees, therapist backgrounds and available feedback to help you build a shortlist.

Our reviews cover therapy services and providers across India. We refresh them periodically as platforms update their offerings.

How we write our reviews

We review service information and publicly accessible feedback. We have not attended therapy sessions with each provider, and our reviews do not claim first-hand treatment experience.

We look for details that matter when booking: the practitioner, session format, ongoing fees, communication, confidentiality and continuity of care. When a published detail is unavailable, we state the specific gap rather than treating it as evidence that a service is unavailable.

When client feedback is accessible, we describe themes in the material we read. Google-sourced excerpts displayed on a provider’s website are a selected sample; provider-selected testimonials are a different source. Neither represents every client’s experience. The source list below records which material informed each review.

In the client-feedback section, a tick highlights what clients appreciate. A cross labelled Practical limitation marks a condition from the provider’s prices, booking process or terms. We use Client concern only for an issue supported by actual client feedback. These drawbacks are our assessment of the service, not claims that clients complained about them.

We do not turn internship, employee or unrelated hospital-department feedback into claims about therapy quality. A comment about one therapist also does not establish how an entire team works. The care-quality component below is an editorial assessment or numerical estimate; it is not a clinical-outcomes audit.

Mind Voyage’s five-year minimum and average experience, APA ethical-practice standards and continuing professional development are platform-provided information, not independently audited credentials. Its 100/100 quality-of-care component is the OTI site owner’s editorial assessment. Its introductory and follow-up prices also reflect platform-provided updates.

A higher fee alone does not establish better care. Our value assessment considers ongoing cost, session length, continuity and practical booking arrangements.

Named practitioner profiles describe those individuals, including the experience stated by the provider. We only label qualifications or experience as a team minimum when the practice explicitly supplies that standard; we do not derive it from a founder, a sample of profiles or an average. Platform-provided standards are identified separately from published profile information.

Prices and availability can change. If you spot an outdated detail, send us the page and supporting source so we can check it.

Sources used in our reviews

The review expansion and appointment policies were checked on 23 October 2026, with additional practitioner research on 24 October. Earlier feedback excerpts were checked on 22 October; individual source entries record their dates. Some service listings also retain earlier recorded information where a current source was unavailable.

Detailed appointment terms take precedence over broad marketing promises. We distinguish assignment from a first appointment, subscription rules from single-session rules, and institutional benefits from private purchases. Some sources conflict: the relevant restriction or uncertainty is explained briefly in that review. An inaccessible policy is recorded as unavailable, not as evidence that no policy exists.

The OTI score

How the ranking is calculated

Every platform uses the same scoring framework, combining public information, clearly identified platform-provided updates and labelled care-quality assessments or review-based estimates. All five measures use the weights below for every platform.

Public rating

38%

Recorded public ratings, adjusted for review count. Feedback may concern different services.

Review volume

14%

The recorded number of public reviews; volume alone does not establish their relevance.

Therapist experience

16%

The team experience figure recorded in the listing; individual backgrounds vary.

Transparency & policies

18%

Recorded pricing, availability, therapist-change, confidentiality and booking information.

Quality of care

14%

Labelled editorial assessment or a review-based estimate; a neutral baseline is used where usable review data is missing.

Recorded public ratings are weighted by how much evidence sits behind them and pulled towards the site-wide average, so a handful of reviews cannot spike the score. Platforms with little public evidence score lower on review volume. Every review page shows the full breakdown for that platform.

Each measure is marked out of 100. Quality of care uses a disclosed editorial assessment where one has been supplied. Otherwise, it is a review-based estimate: convert the recorded client rating to a percentage, combine it with a neutral 50/100 baseline weighted as 12 reviews, and round to a whole number. If either the rating or review count is unusable, use the neutral 50/100 baseline and label it clearly. These scores are not independently audited measures of clinical outcomes. The weighted total is rounded to a whole number. We convert that total to the OTI 0–5 scale by dividing it by 95 and multiplying by 5, capped at 5 and rounded once to one decimal place. The same conversion applies to every platform; each profile explains whether its care-quality score is editorial, review-based or a neutral baseline. These are OTI comparison scores, not public client-review ratings, and they can change as platform information changes.

Editorial picks and price order

Editor’s Choice and Best Value on a featured directory card are independent editorial recommendations. They consider therapist experience, booking convenience, published policies and value for money; Best Value does not mean the lowest price.

When sorting by price from low to high, an eligible editorial pick may appear in a separate feature above the price-sorted results. It must match every selected filter and appears only once. This placement does not change its OTI score, other platforms’ scores, or the price order of the remaining results.

These editorial selections are unpaid and involve no ownership affiliation with the featured platform. Editorial placement badges do not affect the score. The separately labelled care-quality score contributes 14%, whether it is editorial, review-based or a neutral baseline. Service-specific rates are used where published; otherwise, we label prices as platform starting prices.

Our methodology

What we record for every platform

Listings combine platforms' websites and public listings with identified platform-provided updates. We distinguish supplied claims from independently verified facts and use the same scoring rules for every platform.

Pricing & experience

Price per session and average therapist experience, so you know roughly what you're paying for.

Services offered

Individual, couples, family, psychiatry, corporate counselling and more, mapped per platform.

Specializations

Trauma-informed, queer-affirmative, somatic and other specific therapeutic approaches, where offered.

Languages & sessions

Languages supported and typical session length, so logistics don't surprise you later.

Policies & flexibility

Therapist switching, confidentiality contracts and the booking options described by the provider.

OTI score

A 0–5 comparison score using a shared framework, with the source of each care-quality score clearly identified.

What OTI is not

OTI is a directory and comparison guide, not a therapy provider, and not a substitute for professional medical or mental health advice. We don't conduct sessions, employ therapists, or vouch for clinical outcomes. Always verify current pricing, availability and credentials directly with a platform before booking.
